One Ministry. 23 Countries.
It's not just in Ecuador anymore! La Biblia Dice (The Bible Says) broadcasts the Gospel to 23 Spanish-speaking countries through its ministry. The response to the ministry has been astounding, motivating testimonies like the following:
"My name is Milton Morales. I was raised in a traditional Catholic home. I tried to be a devoted parishioner, but as time passed I became more and more disillusioned; it did not satisfy my spiritual need. I was quite interested in knowing more about the Bible, but I didn't know how.
"One day, I had to make a business trip to Ambato, Ecuador. Before I jumped in my car, my wife told me that I should tune to the 'Mary' Radio Station. I did as she suggested. But the farther I got from Quito, the weaker the radio signal was. All of a sudden my car radio tuned itself to a different station. It really got my attention because of the programs that taught very clearly the Word of God--programs like La Biblia Dice.
"Another day I was driving my car in the mountains, listening to a radio program in which the preacher was explaining very clearly the Gospel. I found a safe place to stop in order to listen more carefully to what he was saying. At the end of this program when he gave an invitation, I received Jesus as my Savior.
"I told my wife that I heard programs that really explain what the Bible says and how we apply it to our daily lives. One program that really impacted her was La Biblia Dice taught by David Logacho. She told me that we must visit him in his office; and so we did. I was already a believer by then, but she was not. David shared the Gospel with us, and my wife was really touched.
"We knew that we had to be baptized, and we did last March 1st. We praise the Lord for His mercy and for ministries like La Biblia Dice that the Lord is using to bring many to Jesus."
Just last month, Ecuador received 5,000 responses to their ministry. Yet the ministry there is fighting a financial battle. Director David Logacho and his staff have made a tremendous effort to increase funds through events like Bible conferences, which have been very effective in both teaching and fundraising. The ministry has also made the heartbreaking decision to cutback on staff and are operating on a small budget.
But despite their efforts, La Biblia Dice is besieged by financial problems. They are asking us to provide $8,000 each month to keep the ministry broadcasting throughout Latin America. Wherever La Biblia Dice radio and Internet programming reaches--all 23 nations--wherever our books and CDs are distributed, God's Word is being broadcast and changed lives are the result.
