Get to Know Director Loknath Manaen

Nepal began airing its Bible-teaching radio programs in November of 2008. The programs air on two FM stations in Far West Nepal, two stations in East Nepal and one powerful station in the Chitwan Mid Region district.Currently, the 30-minute programs air three days a week on each station.

One of the ways Nepal is engaging with its audience is through a three-part correspondence course. This is a great tool to direct people to when they respond to the program.

And while the radio programs reach out to some of the most remote and rural areas of Nepal, the office still receives about 20 letters every month. Many of these people are sent a Gospel of John or Gospel of Mark booklet to fuel and grow their relationship with God. But what is most exciting is the thankfulness expressed regarding the quality of the programming--something quite encouraging to the staff. It's evident from the comments that come in, that Nepal is making a difference on the air waves!
